Lovely Ladies

I joined a journalling group at Hinsdale Covenant Church. Each week we mull over a few pages of Praying our Goodbyes, journal for about 15 minutes on something related, and then read what we journalled to the others (optional).

I'm the youngest. Sister Josephine is the oldest. She's ninety. While I journal about things like saying goodbye to Rebekah's newborn hair, they journal about losing lifelong friends or parents.

I feel like I have found a secret goldmine of wisdom, grace, and safety. And, it has opened my eyes to the joys and trials of life seasons ahead in unexpected ways and pulls me out of my consuming mommy world.

If I can grow gray in the grace of these ladies' company, I will be one lucky gal.
