The Wood and Silverware Anniversary
Tomorrow is Jim and my 5 year wedding anniversary. My how things have changed since we first got married. We are on our third home, two super kids, both our job situations have changed, and Sydney has found a permanent new home (more on that later).
Jim, if you are reading this now, and thinking "Crud, I didn't get Shug anything" don't worry. Order this for me and I'll be quite content. I love you and I love being your wife!
JIM ADDS: Crud, I didn't get Shuuug anything!
Aww, do ya mean it?!?!?
Few could put up with me well as you have! You're the best, baby! Happy Anniversary! I love you a bunch!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
I was thinking about your wedding weekend and laughing. A few memories I have: the rehershal dinner chatting at the bar, locking keys in the car after the rehersal dinner, telling stories about Jim till the wee hours of the night since we really weren't going to sleep, bunch at Kathy's and getting our nails down, seeing old friends as they came to the church, the wedding - beautiful and inspiring, the reception - those crazy Columbus singles burning up the dance floor!, dancing with Jim to the Twilla song, the day after making Jim blush! There were times I was laughing so hard I cried and times I cried so hard I just had to laugh! I am happy to celebrate you today! I love you both!
PS: TBJIK - you better be treating her right!
Congratulations on your wood and silver! We just celebrated our candy and iron (6th) on Oct. 20. Congratulations as well on surriving 3 days alone with 2 small kids. Don't you feel a bit like there should be a mommy medal arriving in the mail? I was just wondering the other day how many times I will forget our third child or if he/she will ever make it out of the house with 2 socks, 2 shoes and a jacket - all at once.

Kirsten,
Sometimes it's fun to surf around the tangled web of links that people supply on their personal blogs, and once in awhile when I'm on a fellow North Parkers/ Covenanters website and follow those links I find a lovely surprise at the other end. As I linked in here today ("I don't think I know The Atkins, I thought, but I'll peek in to be sure) and scrolled through your pictures I got to the picture of your Dad, and thought to myself "hey, I know that guy", so then scrolled back up to your wedding photo and hey! there you were! Found you through the Johnson Journal, and found them through another link, etc.
We are living in Quito and are about 30 minutes from the Spjuts. How crazy is that? Saw Dana and Paul last Christmas and will again this year. Our world is smaller than we think. ;)
Anyway, just popping in to say "hello" and how lovely it was to find you here today. I have added you to my favorites.
"Hi" to your folks and brother. :)

P.S. Happy, Happy Anniversary!
Whoops! You're not the Atkins, you're the Bells. See, I was on two sites today...except I ended up knowing who the Bells were. ;) Sorry about that!
ANGIE - Aww....thanks for remembering so much about our wedding! Can't wait to see you next weekend! And, TBJYK is doing just fine most of the time.
MEGHAN - Congratulations on baby #3! Mommy medal, indeed. I was soooooooo happy to Jim walk in the door. (But also a little prideful that the house wasn't totally trashed...which Jim doted over once I told him I needed him to do it. :>)
LISA - Wow! Great to hear from you..and all the way from Quito! Another reason to love the internet. I passed on the greetings to my family. Pete says hello (he's a Navy Chaplain serving the marine corp in Okinawa Japan). My dad retired a year or two ago. If you are in Chicago, and have spare time, let me know! It would be fun to see you.
