Sarah's Engaged!

Congratulations, Sarah & Mike, on your engagement!

Sarah has been babysitting Luke for a year and a half now. She's a student at North Park and does a wonderful job with Luke. We've been lucky to have her!

It's always fun to hear Luke's version of stories where he tried to pull one over on Sarah. Luke reports "Sarah says NO, Mommy." (that was to his request for colored cheerios for dinner) or one of my favorites "I had to sit on the naughty chair and face the wall."

Would my little angel really do THIS?!

Lately, Luke has been skipping his naps. In denial that he could be outgrowing his nap, I faithfully put him in his crib around 1 pm each day. After he had been in his crib for about 45 minutes I decided to put my ear up against the door to see if he was still chattering. He was. What did I hear? "Mommy, oh-oh. I made a mess. I pooped. What did I dooooooo?!?!"

I opened the door to check out the situation and oh, man. I'll spare you the details, but the smell alone made my eyes water. Indeed, Luke....WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!?!

Any suggestions from other parents out there on how to ensure this NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN?!
